About this deal

I was surprised that Slash doesn't consider his drug problems to be that serious, especially since he now has children, and that leads me to believe his sobriety won't last. Highly collectible, The Collection: Slash Custom edition is the only edition of the book limited to 500 copies worldwide, and hand-signed by Slash himself. If he had a vocabulary it would be a lot more interesting to learn how a guy living such a fucked up life made it into one of the best bands of the 90's.

Talvez não sejam bem as 5 estrelas, talvez sejam menos, mas a Iris de 14 anos nunca me perdoaria dar menos que isso ao meu adorado Saul, aka Slash.

We see the way his lifestyle overshadows his relationships and just how driven and obsessive Slash is about playing rock n’ roll.

It took me forever to read and a lot of it annoyed or disappointed me, but in the end this book wasn't ever billed to be a Robert Caro biography and it got the job done: I did feel by the end that I'd gotten a pretty good sense of Slash and a better sense of what it was like to have lived his life. Mostly it's just an enjoyable read, because if there's one thing you can say for Slash it's that he hasn't led a boring life.Across its oversized 364 pages, Slash tells the stories behind the guitars he has used throughout his legendary career, all of them accompanied by gorgeously detailed photos of the instruments themselves. Unfortunately for the band's infamous guitarist Slash, a new album means more time on the road-bad news for a man with pet snakes waiting for him back home! Stay tuned for additional exciting releases from Gibson Publishing in the coming months, including print publications celebrating music milestones, brand stories, artist collaborations, and more. A., surrounded by the leading artists of the day amidst the vibrant hotbed of music and culture that was the early seventies. Gibson Publishing is committed to sustainable and environmentally conscious publishing and uses FSC-certified and recycled materials wherever possible.

As it is, I guess I had unrealistic expectations and was distracted by being sad because this book could've been so much better than it was. Perhaps the problem with this book is that it seems to follow the basic formula for the rock and roll biography, so you may feel as if you've read it before. And of course we get the best and worst of, and inside truth, to what really broke up one of the most controversial rock bands.I appreciated the shooting-from-the-hip approach, except possibly for one thing, namely the peer-bashing (It comes across as slightly narcissistic when “every other band is rubbish and hateful except us”). In other words it was a fun book to read if you're a GNR fan, but not exactly well written and certainly not substantial enough to justify the 450+ pages. The instrument became his voice and it triggered a lifelong passion that made everything else irrelevant. I haven’t pulled it out and played it in a long time, because the tailpiece is threatening to come off and I had to bolt it down,” Slash says.

But everything changed in his world the day he first held the beat-up one-string guitar his grandmother had discarded in a closet. Swimming is a fundamental life skill that everyone should have the opportunity to develop and help them stay safe near the water. While Slash has always been adamant about the fact that he acquires guitars for their playability rather than pedigree, this Les Paul is one that offers both in equal measure. After landing on the top of the charts with his first solo album, Slash (2010)–which featured Ozzy Osbourne, Fergie, Myles Kennedy and more–he formed his current band SLASH FT.
