About this deal

Using thinned down paints are wonderful for getting a smooth finish but the extra water or thinner in the mix can result in the end result being quite glossy. Sometimes this is great but in this case, I wanted the end result to look smooth and matte. http://www.ttfxmedia.com/vallejo/cgi-bin/_modelis_info.asp?p1=ing&p2=modelcolor&p3=1#modelcolorinfo All the paintings are carefully designed by our own designers. Dark Color follows the trend to update the most popular pictures daily to make you catch the trend timely.

These armies look deep and rich when painted with Dark Reaper paint as a base coat because it makes a great canvas for layering, highlighting, and shadowing. As you mentioned, the washes are in the next set. I thought about buying them, and wanted to do some research. but i could not find *ANYTHING* about them. No post on subreddits, nor on the old school mini painting forums, no blog articles or youtube videos. nothing. so i guess i’ll let myself be surprised…Drazhar is a beautiful model, maybe my favorite in the entire game, and was an absolute joy to paint as well. I won’t talk about him too extensively here, since I already wrote an article for Goonhammer about some techniques I used to paint him. If you are curious though, you can read that article here . Long story short, Apothecary White and Tesseract Glow are your friends. The Reaper MSP – Core Colors Set #1 Comes in a really useful and large carry case. So large it didn’t fit in my photography studio. But that was made to photograph models and smaller products. Paint pure white in the helmet lenses and tubes before glazing it with a light green. Tesseract glow would probably work well these days, I guess? The important thing is that Drukhari benefit from having one or two really bright details, and this was that.

The Winsor & Newton retarder is much more fluid and matched the consistency of these paints better. This Master Series Bones Ultra-Coverage Paints Basic Set includes 54 half-ounce (1/2 oz.) bottles of water-soluble, non-toxic hobby paints.

However, and this is negativ, but not so as to justify not buying them (for me at least): the nozzle of the bottles is a bit smaller that the other brands, and tends to clog up more than my vallejos. Time for the wings. Here I’m just going to get away with drybrushing. I do progressively lighter mixes of Celestra Gray and Xereus Purple here, which helps give me a much more muted tone on the wings. This one is good for finding the different shades of a color so you can find good shade and highlight colors.
