No.1 Super Valet can be used on all hard surfaces in your car, including plastic trims, rubber, metals and dashboards. The smell reminded us of clean laundry, which is always pleasant. CarPlan recommends applying this product to a microfibre cloth before wiping across surfaces. We found it kept the surfaces looking exactly how they should: glossy finishes remained glossy, while mattsurfaces stayed that way. The next is to choose the right cleaner. Use an upholstery cleaner that is appropriate for the type of upholstery – for example, Autoglym Rubber & Vinyl care is suitable for interior trim.. It’s always worthwhile reading the product label and following the instructions. Afterwards, test the cleaner on a small, inconspicuous area to make sure it won’t cause any damage or discoloration.The great thing with Interior Shampoo is that it can be used on both cloth and leather seats, as well as steering wheels and seatbelts. It can also be used on dashboards to clean them. Remember Interior Shampoo is not suitable for leather seats. When cleaning these, use a soft brush to work away dirty from the stitching, before applying Leather Cleaner. Liqui Moly’s Auto Interior Cleaner can be used on all plastics, fabric and trims in your car. While using, you’ll need to give it a few minutes to take effect, but don’t let it dry out. Liqui Moly suggests you spray directly onto surfaces, then wipe with a damp sponge or cloth, although we found it better when we applied it with a cloth so we could control the amount of product used. The scent isn’t particularly long lasting, but smells like apples, and we were left with a lightly polished and streak-free finish.
Tip: After cleaning, spray Autoglym Hyperfresh inside the vehicle for a long-lasting, fresh fragrance. Features & Benefits: After Interior Shampoo was used on the seats, the smell of smoke was barely noticeable. Your mileage may vary though depending on how much product is used, how many cigarettes had been smoked etc.
For areas that are really dirty, Interior Shampoo can still be used, but I would recommend that this is in conjunction with a carpet extractor. Depending on the size of area that needs to be cleaned, I’ll either apply it directly to the area, or onto a brush as mentioned above. After a moderately strong agitation, I then go over the cleaned area with a carpet extractor. One thing that should be noted is that less is more when it comes to using a carpet extractor You can always do additional passes afterwards if it isn’t quite clean, rather than bombarding the area with product and oversaturating it. If not all of the liquid is removed, than it can lead to mould and dampness in the car. Results Now it’s time to apply the shampoo. Spray it onto all interior surfaces in a sweeping motion, ensuring an even application. There are a few ways it can be applied, depending on the area that is being cleaned, and also the level of cleaning that is required.
